Our History began with our own Gastronomy & Event Catering
The eponymous company was founded in 2002 by Michael Balzer. This was followed by eventful years with its own gastronomy at Schloss Reinhartshausen (Rheingau) and in Wiesbaden as well as company restaurants, its own catering kitchens in Frankfurt and Wiesbaden and nationwide event catering. The restructuring and relaunch of the BALZER brand in 2017 is based on this experience. Since then, the BALZER group of companies has successfully concentrated on its core business, which comprises the planning and implementation of culinary events including digital formats in all facets.

Host with Passion
Michael Balzer, founder and owner of Balzer & Co. GmbH, found his vocation as a host already at a young age in a traditional 5-star Grand Hotels in Switzerland, Austria and Germany.
After several stints in Frankfurt am Main in the 1990s, during which he repeatedly built up catering areas in well-known companies, he developed a desire and a passion to achieve a five-star level for cuisine, service and ambience in the context of events and catering.

Michael Balzer, founder and owner of Balzer & Co. GmbH, found his vocation as a host already at a young age in a traditional 5-star Grand Hotels in Switzerland, Austria and Germany.

In addition to the successful "Premium Range", BALZER's current event portfolio still includes "Creative Event Catering", which also includes "Office Catering". The decision to give up the restaurant operations in order to focus on core competencies created room for new developments in 2017. The result is a powerful project management for culinary events right up to the Destination Management Company (DMC). The focus is still on the development and implementation of event formats with culinary innovations including ambience that reach and touch the guest emotionally in their entirety and perfection.
